Cristiano Ronaldo according to Forbe's made $32m from endorsement deals alone last year.

The Real Madrid star earns more than any other sportsperson,according to the Forbe's annual list of wealthiest athletes in the world.

The business magazine list of wealthiest athletes has been led by either Boxer Floyd Mayweather or golfer Tiger Woods for the past decade and half.But owing to Mayweather retiring and Woods not playing anymore because of injury,the Portugal captain has taken over the top.

He earned $88m from salary,bonuses and endorsement last year.

Ronaldo,31,is only the second team sport athlete,after basketball superstar Micheal Jordan,to have topped the list since Forbes began tracking in 1990

He makes $32m in off-pitch earnings,which include $13m a year deal with sports giant Nike.

His closest rival ,Barcelona and Argentine forward Lionel Messi is second on the list with earnings of $81.4m last year.

Northern Ireland golfer Rory Mcllroy is 17th,with $42.6m of which a higher percentage came from endorsement deals.

Ronaldo team-mate and Wales international Gareth Bale,is the highest earning British  footballer,with his $35.9m putting him in 25th position.

World number one Tennis player Serena Williams is the highest placed woman on the list,in 40th,with $28.9m.Another female tennis player to feature in the top list is Maria Sharapova,who is in the 79th position with $21.9m

England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is at 49th with $26.1m,making him the highest grossing Premier league player.

Sergio Aguero is the next biggest earner in the Premier League.the Manchester City player earns $24.3m,at 60th position.

All hail the new crown king of Europe!.Portugal came from behind as underdogs of the championship to spoil the party for France on home soil,denying them their third European title and clinching their first ever European championship all thanks to Eder extra time powerful strike.

JAMB LATEST ADMISSION MODALITIES

As was announced earlier on Plus-One school portal on www.jamb.gov.ng,the joint admission and matriculation board has finally released the modalities for this years admission process,in 0ther word, the method of admission.We would like to educate the jambites and other DE candidates on how it is done.
This new method uses a point system that is very easy to understand,the whole process is divided into main points as follows:
1.Before a candidate can seat to be considered for the screening,he/she must have been given a provisional admission by jamb.The Jamb admission  checker portal is going to be opened soon for this process ,so all you need now is divine intervention
2.THE POINT SYSTEM:
This is the most critical part of the process.
Jamb provisional admission no longer makes much sense this year,your points tally will determine your faith.The points are evenly spread  out between your O Level and Jamb results to provide a level playing field for all.
In the first case,any candidate who submits only one result which contains his/her relevant subjects already has 10points,the exam could be NECO,WAEC,GCE e.t.c,but any candidate who has 2 sittings only gets 2points.So this implies that aspirants with only one result are at advantage but only just.
The next point grades fall into Olevel grades.Each grade has its equivalent point,A=6,B=4,C=3 marks,so the better your grades the higher your chances .
The next point is UTME scores.Each score range has its equivalent point which can be summarized thus,180-200=20-23marks,200-250=24-33marks,251-300=34-43,300-400=44-60marks.Each categories contains 5 jamb results per point added ,for example candidate with 180-185 gets 20points, a candidate with 186-190 gets 21 points e.t.c.
Points system for DE will be released soon.
3.It then comes down to the fact that fees will still be paid for screening,it depends on the school as well.
4.Catchment and ELDS will still be used .Merit contains 45% of the total candidates for a particular course,catchment contains 35% and ELDS and staff lists contains the rest.
5.Cutoff marks will be released by schools this year in the form of points and not marks.If a school declares its cutoff point mark for medicine as 90points and jamb grants a candidate with 250 a provisional admission but his/her total points falls short of the 90 points,then he/she will lose the admission.so provisional admission is just a step forward to the end and not actually a guarantee for admission.
